What is Mezcal?

Mezcal is tequila's smoky cousin. Unlike the restrictions imposed on tequila, mezcal can be produced from a variety of different Agave plants, even if not exlusive to Mexico. The harvested plants are oven, pit, or wood-fired cooked to give the spirit its distinctive smoky flavour with hints of spiciness.

How best to enjoy mezcal?

Like tequila, mezcal is a versatile spirit and enjoyed in very much the same way. Your serves are sure to more "bite" than tequila, but it does taste great sipped and in cocktails where you want the flavour to be enhanced.
