HT Drinks Holdings Ltd and its subsidiary companies have a zero-tolerance attitude to any form of modern slavery.

As part of our commitment to combating modern slavery, we have produced a modern slavery policy.

All our employees benefit from a positive working environment in which their rights and freedoms are fully respected and honoured. We believe in acting ethically and with integrity and transparency. As a group, we recruit primarily from the local communities around our depots, which helps us understand the people we employ and minimise the risk of human trafficking, and we carry out right-to-work checks on all prospective employees, including additional checks where a prospective employee is a non-UK/EU resident.

Our group is a drinks and grocery wholesale and distribution business. We do not manufacture products ourselves, and as such our own operations carry a comparatively low direct risk of modern slavery. We recognise, however, that the greatest risk of modern slavery typically arises further upstream in supply chains, and we focus our efforts accordingly on the suppliers and manufacturers from whom we source.

We only purchase from reputable, established suppliers and manufacturers, and we carry out know-your-customer (KYC) due diligence on new suppliers before they are onboarded. As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains, this includes checking that suppliers are registered for the Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS), for VAT and other registrations, as applicable.

HT Drinks Holdings Ltd and its subsidiaries regularly evaluate the nature and extent of their exposure to the risk of modern slavery occurring in their supply chains, using our supplier due diligence and KYC checks to help identify and manage areas of higher risk.

As an organisation, we are committed to ensuring we do not support or deal with any businesses or individuals that are knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking. We will continue to develop our supplier due diligence and KYC procedures to ensure our supply chains remain free from slavery and human trafficking, and we will carry out further staff training and a full supply chain review to ensure we have identified any key risks.
