Sake & Umeshu
Looking for something a bit different from your usual taste? Choose from our collection of Sake and Umeshu, a true taste of Japan.
Sake is a Japanese beverage made from the fermentation of rice. Known as 'Japanese liquor' or 'rice wine' in English, the process involves multiple and parallel fermentations.
The process is unique in that it resembles closely the brewing of beer, rather than the fermentation of grapes made for wine.
Umeshu is another example of Japanese liquor made from fruits with an alcohol content of 10-15%.
The taste and aroma of umeshu can appeal to even those people who normally dislike alcohol due to its elements of sweet and sour.
