Founded by Spyros Metaxa in 1888, Metaxa is a Greek legacy. Muscat vineyards are blessed with the Mediuterranean sun and sea breeze from the Agean coast, aloowing the mineral rich soil to feed the grape vines with everything they need to produce the ideal grape. The Metaxa MAster chooses the finest fruit to blend with the aged distilleries, creatng the signature smoothness found in every bottle. 

Today, the careful art is handled by the Metaxa Master, Constantinos Raptis, who ensures every drop meets the exacting standrds of this famous drink. Beginning its life in small oak casks, each is carefully monitored and selected to be distilled with the Muscat wines in larger oak barrels under the watchful eye of Constantinos. This blend is blessed with May rose petals and Mediterranean herbs, producing the unique flavour found in every bottle.
