Schnapps is a strong alcoholic drink, commonly flavoured. The word Schnapps is derived from the German Schnaps, which means "swallow".

Often enjoyed as a shot, or used in cocktails, Schnapps are flavoured with a variety of fruits, herbs, spices and even toffee and chocolate. The majority of Schnapps have a clear liquid, but today many flavoured variants are just as colourful as the flavours used!
