7up was the creation of the company founder of the Howdy Corporation, C.L.Grigg.

Grigg has produced Howdy Orange drink, and began to experiment with the flavour of lemon and limes. In 1929, he had perfected the flavour he desired and the bubbliest lemon and lime fizzy drink we know as 7UP was born.
