Jacobs Creek Sparkling Shiraz Red Wine 75cl

In 1847 Jacobs planted his first vineyards on along the banks of Jacobs Creek. This was the beginning of creating one of the most popular wines in the world.

It wasn’t until 1984 that Jacobs Creek sent their first wine across the globe to England to begin their global expansion of Australian wines. In 1994 they were given the Maurice O’shea award for outstanding contribution to Australian wines. This was the first and only time that a brand had received the award rather than a person.

In 2000 they release there premium range, which is a combination of the best grapes from the best areas, to create the best wines.

The Sparkling Shiraz is made from the Jacobs Creek Shiraz Grape, it offers generous blackberry and raspberry fruit flavours.The colour is a deep crimson ruby with purple hues, the bouquet has slightly peppered notes with a rich berry fruit. It has full weight on the palate but with rich raspberry fruit character and a hint of refreshing blackberry. It has a soft satisfying texture, velvety tannin and fine persistent mousse which all contribute to a clean and balanced finish.

This wine won the blue-gold medal at the Sydney international wine competition and a silver medal at the syrah du monde 2011.
