Intense dark cherry flavour. Attractive aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and raspberries, blended together with hints of vanilla and spice. Complex and elegant on the palate with fine tannins and a good length.
The C.V.N.E. Company, or to give it its full name, Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (The Northern Spanish Wine Company) was established on the 24th of March 1879 in Haro, Rioja. Set up by two brothers, Eusebio and Raimundo, their aim was to capitalise on the flourishing new trade in wine. 140 years later C.V.N.E. is still controlled by the descendants of the founders. Cune is where it all began. The first wines were produced in 1879. Later a typographic error occurred with the letter ‘V’, creating the brand ‘Cune’ which has remained ever since. Perfect with Tapas or roast Lamb with the love of your life.
