The Cuvee 640 has been given a subtitled name of ‘Oh mensch gieb acht! Was spricht die tiefe mitternacht? This is the opening line from a song in Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
The Cuvee 640 has been aged in American oak casks and then further matured in Limousin oak casks from acquitaine that for many years contained one of the great eaux de vie. These casks tannins have added new layers of rich complexity to Bruichladdichs own elegant, floral Bruichalddich whisky. This is a whisky to enjoy and reflect on, chill out and sip on while having a quiet moment to yourself.
