S.B.S Trinidad 1993 is a single cask rum with an outcome of 222 bottles only. Produced at, the now closed, Caroni Distillery from molasses and distilled in a column still in 1993 before being matured in a Bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength in October 2021.

Description
A not-to-be-sniffed at rum, although a lot of sniffing will precede sipping. Aged for 28 years, this is a complex liquid even for those in the know. As you can imagine, being aged for this long in a tropical climate in bourbon barrels, there are layers and layers and even more layers of flavour. A typical Caroni funk, very oily, oaky but packed with richness. Dark flavours of BBQ'd tropical fruits, raisins, roasted nuts (almost burnt), hints of coffee bitterness with sweeter chocolate. It’s been labelled the beast for a reason!
