Glenrothes is one of the biggest distilleries in Scotland and is located in the Rothes Burn on the west side of Rothes in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. The gift pack consists of three single malts, their 1988, 1998 and the reserve.

Glenrothes 1988 vintage is a rare breed that has been maturing for more that two decades in a combination of Spanish and American Oak casks, both seasoned with sherry and whisky. The combination of the casks gives the citrus notes a delicious cooked orange flavour and plenty of fruit as well which are evident on the nose and palate.

The 1998 vintage was malt master, Gordon Motion’s first bottling and it is the first of the vintages that Glenrothes have bottled that was expressly laid down at origin to be bottled as Glenrothes on maturity. It has tropical fruits that lead with pineapple and mango developing into sweet bananas, coconut and classic Glenrothes vanilla pods.

The Glenrothes Select Reserve was created by malt master John Ramsay and is the first none aged statement bottle from the distillery. Stilled produced to the same high standards as the Glenrothes vintages, only here they select and vat from casks from different years to create the Select Reserve.
