The Dalmore 40 year old is an amazing Whisky. Distilled on the 21st of March 1966 by a small band of local stillmen who have been distilling whisky for well over a century. The Spirit that was distilled on the 21st got laid to rest in variety of different cask ranging from the common American White oak, to the specially selected casks from the Bodegas of Gonzalez Byass in Jerez de la Frontera. Each cask has made a contribution in the creation of this fantastic whisky. Master blender Richard Paterson, using his sixth sense, judged when the balance between wood, air and spirit was in perfect harmony. The Dalmore 40 year old whisky has been described with many different words, but we think the best word to sum it up is, Monumental.
