Caorunn Gin is created from a mixture of 6 traditional Gin botanicals and 5 unique Celtic botanicals. It is distilled in small batches and uses a unique copper berry chamber to infuse all of the botanical together which is a very important part in making Caorunn Gin.
Unlike most gins, Caorunn uses pure grain spirit rather than molasses to ensure a higher quality of Gin. The water used in making gin has an important part to play and the fresher the water the better. That is why the water used to make Caorunn Gin is from the surrounding highlands located just outside the distillery in the mountains.
The final gin product is made up of eleven botanicals, harnessing the true heart of the Scottish highlands, a unique natural resource. The heart and soul of Caorunn Gin is made from the fable Rowan berry which dates back in Scottish history as an important ingredient in medicines and cooking recipes.
On appearance Caorunn Gin is perfectly clear with an aroma of fresh flowers and citrus, all accompanied by a slightly spicy tone. The flavour is clean and crisp, with a slight sweet taste that is full bodied on the palate. The finish is invigorating and long lasting, a refreshing, crisp and slightly dry gin, perfect to drink straight or mixed for a premium gin cocktail.
