Tia Maria

The legend of Tia Maria starts way back in the 17th Century..

A beautiful young Spanish Aristocrat fled to Jamaica, with nothing much but a box of earrings and a recipe for a mysterious liqueur. Named after a the courageous woman, Tia Maria was later discovered in the 1950's by Dr. Kenneth Leigh Evans, who began to produce and market it.

Soon, it was being enjoyed by many, but Tia Maria really took of in the 1980's, thanks to a television advert featuring the beautiful wife of David Bowiue, Iman. Today, this advert is as iconic as the drink itself.

Made from a blend of Jamaican rum, coffee beans, vanilla and sugar, Tia Maria features in many a cocktails and is still a popular drink worldwide.
