Bowmore 26 Year 1985 Whisky 70cl

This Bowmore was distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2012. It is a limited edition bottle with only 750 being produced, so it s pretty rare Whisky. Aged for 26 years, where it spent most of its time in sherry casks before being moved over to bourbon casks for the finish. It was given a special place to rest, in none other than the famously renowned Bowmore No.1 vault that is located below sea-level. Being placed in the No.1 vault means the whiksy goes throught an array of elements from thrashing waves to atlantic gusts Non chill filtered and bottled at cask strength reveals a strong ABV of 52.3%.

On the eye the Bowmore 1985 is a deep chesnut colour. Breathe in the trademark Bowmore peat smoke with fragrant summer berries encased in dark chocolate and lashing of cream. Sip blood orange and grapefruit notes together with dark chocolate, salted honeycomb and hints of lemon rose turkish delight. Savour the complex finish with sweet cherries, dark chocolate and leathery-smoke. This is bottle number 95 of 750.
