Founded in 1857, Seagrams gin had a unique distillation process that makes it smooth and perfect for making both classic and modern cocktails. The main ingredient was juniper berries and but it is accompanied by a variety of other herbs and spices. These herbs and spices are sourced from around the world, with cardamom coming from Sri lanker, cassia bark from Vietnam, orange peel from Spain, Coriander from the Czech Republic and angelica root from Germany and also the Juniper berries are imported from Italy. The Seagram Master distiller scrutinized many different Gin recipes and sampled thousands of different botanicals in order to select the finest ingredients. The specific recipe for these botanicals is a secret recipe that is closely guarded. Seagrams Gin carefully blends its botanicals flavours two times. First a pristine neutral spirit is distilled using selected grains from Americas heartland. Then this pure grain neutral spirit is processed once more with the botanicals through a low temperature vacuum distillation. This again purifies the spirits but it adds the essence of the botanicals. During the distillation process including the botanicals, the temperature is controlled, this is to carefully extra any undesirable elements and the result is an enhanced flavourful gin.
