Distilled at the Mortlach distillery on the first of September 1989 and bottled at cask strength in March 2012, which gives this whisky an age statement of 22 years old. Each bottle has an individual hand written bottle number and states what casks it was taken from. The whisky is matured in casks that previously held sherry which is evident when you smell and taste the whisky. On the nose you can detect soft malt and cinnamon, acacia, honey and figs. The palate is very straightforward and easy going. It is medium bodied with flavours of fresh fruit, including peach, plum and thick malt with date and walnut loaf. The finish is wonderfully nutty which its get from the well seasoned sherry casks.
