More Information
Cropped at 46hl/ha, this has a deep garnet/purple core. The nose has moderate intensity although it lacks the precision of the 2006. Blackberries, tinctures of mulberry and fresh tobacco, developing touches of violets with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, quite peppery, the tannins a little brusque at this early juncture, the finish dry and savoury, though lacking the weight and delineation I would like to have seen. A €œcapable€ Haut-Batailley. Tasted April 2008.
