Hop House 13 Beer 330ml
Greene King brew their diverse range of craft beers in the art-deco surrounds of the St Edmund’s Brewhouse in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, using over 25 varieties of hops including Cascade, Fuggles, East Kent Goldings, Galaxy and Williamette. The Brewhouse is named after the 9th Century Saxon ruler King Edmund of East Anglia, who, according to legend, the Vikings tortured and killed when he refused to renounce Christianity.
Greene King Strong Suffolk is made from a blend of two ales: Old 5X , which is brewed to the maximum strength possible (around 12% abv) and left to mature in 100-barrel oak vats for a minimum of two years; and BPA, a dark, full-bodied freshly brewed beer which is added just before bottling. The result is a unique beer -- strong, dark, malty and intense.
