Elements 8 is a super premium St Lucian rum brand synonymous with purity, smoothness and flavour. Its name refers to the eight elements of rum production that go into its products: terroir, cane, water, fermentation, distillation, tropical ageing, blending and filtration. Each type of rum is produced using the best-quality molasses from hand-selected Guyanese sugar cane which is chill-fermented with three unique strains of yeast. Each batch is then distilled using one of three separate distillation methods: pot, column and bourbon pot stills. Finally, the rum is aged for a minimum of three years in premium bourbon barrels before being cut to 40% ABV with volcanic rock water.
Elements 8 Gold is aged for six years. It is then lightly charcoal-filtered to remove impurities but retain its compelling deep-amber colour. It won Best in Class, Gold Medal at the Chicago Beverage Tasting Institute in 2008 and a Best in Class Gold Medal at ISWC 2007.
