Elements 8 is a super premium St Lucian rum brand synonymous with purity, smoothness and flavour. Its name refers to the eight elements of rum production that go into its products: terroir, cane, water, fermentation, distillation, tropical ageing, blending and filtration. Each type of rum is produced using the best-quality molasses from hand-selected Guyanese sugar cane which is chill-fermented with three unique strains of yeast. Each batch is then distilled using one of three separate distillation methods: pot, column and bourbon pot stills. Finally, the rum is aged for a minimum of three years in premium bourbon barrels before being cut to 40% ABV with volcanic rock water.
Elements 8 Barrel Infused Spice is aged for 3 years. During this time ten exotic fruits and spices are used to naturally infuse the rum: clove, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, star anise, coconut, orange, lemon and honey. This results in an astoundingly complex taste preceded by a nose of honey, clove and chocolate, cut with sweet citrus. It won Best Flavoured/Spiced Rum at UK Rum Fest 2010.
