Sake has been produced in the Nara region of Western Japan for over 1000 years. Made from rice which is slowly ferment with Koji rice yeast and mineral water from Nara, the resulting product is the unique and well know Japanese drink, Sake. Choya have been making their finest sake following the traditonal recipe for many years, and is now one of the best known producers world wide. Best consumed new, sake does not mature with age. Often served warm from a Tokkuri, it is sipped when accompanying Japanese foods. Sake also works well chilled and in Westernised cocktails such as a "setting sun". Why not give it a try.
