Chartreuse Green Liqueur is produced using all natural ingredients in a recipe unchanged since the 17th century and has a strong and distinctive flavour created from a secret blend of 130 different herbs found in the French Alps which give Chartreuse Green its unique taste. Slowly aged in oak casks for five years, Chartreuse Green is an acquired taste yet has the versatility to be enjoyed alone, with ice, in a range of drinks, in desserts and with chocolate. Originally created in 1605 by Peres Chartreux as an ‘Elixir of Long Life’, the secret recipe has been perfected until the mid-18th century to reach the powerful taste it is today.
