Brookland Valley is located along Caves Road, in the heart of the premium wine region of Margaret River, Western Australia. A truly beautiful estate with the Wilyabrup Brook as a breathtaking backdrop to all that Brookland Valley has to offer. The picturesque property spans 52ha, consisting of vineyards established in 1983 planted with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot.
Fermentation occurred in open-top fermenters and careful plunging of the cap ensured beautiful colour and tannin extraction. The wine was pressed directly to Bordeaux-coopered French oak for maturation over 16 months.
Near average winter and spring rainfall was followed by slightly warmer than average temperatures in 2010, resulting in the accumulation of intense flavour and fine, mature tannins. Entirely sourced from the Wilyabrup sub - region of Margaret River, the fruit was hand-picked at ideal ripeness.
