Thunderbird

Introduced by Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery after the end of prohibition, Thunderbird wine was marketed to low income drinkers in America. With their catch radio jingle which said “What’s the word / Thunderbird / How’s it sold? / Good and cold / What’s the jive? / Bird’s alive / What’s the price? / Thirty twice.”, It became a popular drink in the 1950's. Made from fortified wine with fruit, Thunderbird is to be consumed in sensible measures.
