Mulata Rum

One of the newer rums to hail from Cuba, Mulata rum has been on the market for 20 years. Produced at the fifty year old distillery of Heriberto Duquesne, which is located in the central region of Cuba at Villa Clara, Mulata rum is one of the rums made by Tecnoazucar, who currently supply 90% of all rums from Cuba.

Their Maestro Roneros (master distillers) whose skills have been passed down through many generations, use acquavite, derived from only the best Cuban sugar cane syrup as a raw material and then the rum is matured in 180 litre American oak barrels – a process that gives Mulata a unique bouquet and light, quality flavour.
