Lone Star Beer

Established in 1883, by Beer baron Adolphus Busch and his partners, Lone Star Brewery was built in San Antonio, Texas. By 1884, the brewery had produced its first range of beers, and the growing business led to the brewery moving premises to Jones Avenue, where they stayed in production up til prohibition.

From 1918 til 1933, the brewery stood closed due to prohibition, but reopened once the law had passed. 1940, and Lone star beer is brewed for the first time based on a premium formula developed by Peter Kreil of Munich Germany. The National Beer of Texas is born!
