Seagram's Extra Dry Gin 70cl
Arran Orkney Bere Barley is made from the oldest strain of barley known to Scotland, Bere. Bere Barley was more commonly used before the 20th century for the production of whisky but Arran has brought it out of hibernation.
This bottle was a collaboration between the Agronomy Institute of Orkney College and the Isle of Arran Distillery, with the bere barley being grown on Orkney before being malted in Inverness and afterwards distilled and matured in the Arran Distillery. 100% ex-bourbon casks were chosen to age the Bere whisky and it matured in there for 8 years before being bottled at cask strength. This bottle is a testament to the missed but not forgot ability of Bere Barley.
