Pernod Absinthe is created using Grand Wormwood (containing thujone), anise, Fennel and other absinthe plant extracts adding to its value as one of the most authentic absinthes available. Pernod was the first company to open an absinthe distillery and was the most popular brand of Absinthe before the 1915 ban. Pernod Absinthe is over two hundred years old and was traditionally enjoyed by artists, writers and poets proving an inspiration for many works of art and literature; Pernod maintains a relationship with the art community today. Best enjoyed using the traditional method of drinking with sugar and water or with ice.
