El Dorado 8 Year Rum 70cl

The El Dorado 8 year old is an exceptional medium bodied Cask Aged premium amber rum. It is created by the master blenders skilfully blending a number of aged rums from no fewer than four of the traditional stills preserved by Demerara distillers. After blending the rum it is aged in ex-bourbon casks to give it a heavier body than the five year old but lighter than the 12 and 15 year old. Meaning this is a great mixing rum and it’s also pretty good as a sipping rum as well.

It is a light to medium rum, with a full bodied nose with hints of tobacco mixed with caramel toffee. Faint aroma of dried stone fruits and flambé banana, soft and faintly sweet mouth feel with traces of oak and butterscotch. A distinct smooth mellow rum.
