Croft Pink Port 75cl
Offley Rose Port 75cl
Graham's LBV Port 2009 75cl
Cockburn’s Late Bottled Vintage 2008 port is made up of grapes from a single harvest and is aged in oak casks for up to 6 years before being bottled.
Cockburn’s LBV is an intense port with a strong character. On the eye, it is a deep blood red with an aroma of mulberry, summer fresh fruits, mainly red berries and chocolate. On the palate it feels full bodied with some complexity from when it was ageing in wood creating a very intense sensation. It is extremely balance with a lingering enjoyable finish.
This port would go well with strong cheese, most notably blue cheese or one similar. It would also complement many nuts, in particular Brazil nuts and dark chocolate dishes, but not necessarily desserts. Serve at cool room temperature or if preferred very slightly chilled.

I drink a lot of port of all kinds .. From vintage quint do Vesuviuo for special evenings to lbv for every day drinking. This was my first Cockburn as I would normally buy Taylor's. I was disappointed .. I found it harsh without any smooth tones. It tasted very young although dated 2008 although maybe lbv ports are not meant to age. Whilst a good marketing gimmick I am not certain of the real taste merits of lbv's . Taylor's 10 year old Tawny .. No that is a much nicer drinking port.. Hope this review helps someone!
