Marie Brizard
In 1755, Marie Brizard and her nephew, Jean-Baptiste Roger, founded the original liqueur company and began working on an array of wonderful drinks. By 1760, they have developed their Anisette which was instantly shipped to the New World, spreading the brand across the globe. Ten years after the company was first founded, Marie and Jean-Baptiste had diversified with the development of fine liqueurs, Marie Brizard was becoming the leading name in the market.
Following the death of Marie in 1801, the Rogers family took over the brand, and continued to increase the range of liqueurs, branching out also into fruit syrups. Today, Marie Brizard is still recognised worldwide, as one of the most influential brands to hail from France
