Baron Otard

The story of Baron Otard begins with his arrest during the French Revolution.

Sentenced to death in 1793, the towns people forced their way into the prision the day before his execution and released him. Baron Otard escaped to England, and after a few years exile, returned to his home town of Cognac and with the stock of eaux-de-vie that his family had built up since 1760, he produced his cognac in 1795.

Baron Otard Cognacs have been in production ever since, and are recognised worldwide for their fine blends.
