Bambarria tequila is produced exactly as it was 100 years ago.
Using a Tahona (stone wheel) in a pit, they crush the agave with each turning of the wheel. Afterwards, the agave juice and crushed fibres are mixed by a man, standing chest deep in a barrel, before fermentation and distillation including the unique style of adding the Agave fibres to the distillation.
